Our first vintage of Chardonnay from this special site we have been working with for Pinot Noir since 2012. Made in a "modern California" style — this wine is far from the super rich, oakier Chardonnays made in many parts of the state. Rather, it's a truly coastal in character, featuring mineral notes, subtle flint, and bright citrus tones (think ripe lemons) along with racy acidity. It's much more Chablis-esque or Burgundian than it is typical California Chard. Aged in 25% new French Oak and 75% neutral oak, with full malolactic fermentation.
