2022 Chardonnay Norgrove Farm

With Aequorea, we are always searching for the best vineyards to grow Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines in the SLO Coast AVA. During our searches in 2021, we found Norgrove Farm. Located about 4 miles from the Coast in Arroyo Grande (5 miles south of San Luis Obispo), this vineyard presented us with amazing Chardonnay. YES WE KNOW — we said we never wanted to make Chardonnay, but when the fruit is right, you have to listen to your instincts and that is what we did.

This Chardonnay is made in a more modern California style — mineral, bright and racy similar to wines made in Chablis, Burgundy.  With 25% new French Oak and minimal malolactic fermentation, this wine offers plenty of texture but balanced with lively acid.
