The 2020 Lost Lands is our rarest Pinot Noir. This wine is not a wine we produce each vintage, but rather a vineyard blend Pinot Noir that we create in particular years when we have extremely rich, structured fruit that produces wines of great depth and aging potential. In 2020, it is based on the Talley-Rincon Vineyard in Arroyo Grande Valley and the Spanish Springs Vineyard in Pismo Beach. Small amounts of Derbyshire and Greengate Ranch were added to the blend to lend mid-palate and texture. We use a larger amount of new oak in Lost Lands to compliment the intensity of the fruit and match the tannins of the wine.
