The 2019 Lost Lands is our rarest Pinot Noir. This wine is not a wine we produce each vintage, but rather a vineyard blend Pinot Noir that we create in particular years when we have extremely rich, structured fruit that produces wines of great depth and aging potential. In 2019, it ended up being based around the Rincon Vineyard in Arroyo Grande Valley, whose deep calcareous clay soils produce dense fruit and rich tannins. Balancing is a large portion of our top blocks from Spanish Springs, which bring finesse and brightness.
