Each year, we select one lot of fruit to make a wine that is 100% for us, for our own everyday drinking enjoyment. It's the most deliciously aromatic, vibrant, crush-able red wine we know how to make. We throw it in the fridge, chill it down, and go through bottle after bottle during backyard barbecues.
Nature Boy is based around Grenache, with a tiny amount of Mourvèdre thrown in, fermented with native yeasts and done 100% whole cluster. As a team, we take turns foot stomping this wine every few days, but gave it minimal extraction and a cold fermentation to keep aromatics high. We even threw in the skins from our Viognier pressings to boost the aromatics even more. The result...INCREDIBLE. Low in alcohol (13%), but high in flavor and yumminess.
